Live Services authentication failing
Hi there, I have setup our Moodle site according to the Getting Started Guide and can sign in with the default Moodle login method. When we try to sign in using the Live ID pane, our enabled account signs into Live fine (we got the prompt for how long we want to allow access to our contacts and can click the link in bottom RHS and go to our live accout page) but it took a long time to redirect back to http://moodle.domain.com:81/auth/liveid/authenticate.php then we got an error: Authentication Failed Windows Live was not able to authenticate your account. You can try again by logging out and using a different Windows Live ID. If you continue to have problems, contact your Moodle system administrator. Now after signing in we go straight to the error message. Could this be to do with us having to use a different port :81 We initially setup Moodle up with port :80 but we had to change it for external access using port :81 being redirect with ISA to port :80 I have changed our redirect link in Azure settings to http://moodle.domain.com:81/auth/liveid/webauth-handler.php (also tried regenerating the secret key and updating this in Moodle config). We’ve changed our .\Moodle\config.php file to be $CFG->wwwroot = 'http://moodle.domain.com:81'; I've checked the Windows Event Logs and found an information note: ** The following information is part of the event: php[3564], PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'C:\PHP\ext\php_hash.dll' - The specified module could not be found. ** This php_hast.dll file was not included in my /ext folder when I installed php 5.2.11-nts-win32 So I downloaded the dll (version 5.1.11) from free-dlls.com and extracted it to /ext folder and added extension=php_hast.dll to php.ini PS: All of the /ext dll's had the php_ prefix (not php5_ as indicated in the Getting Started Guide) Could this hast.dll problem be our culprit, or is there some other way we could investigate / resolve this? Thanks, Jezza

Have you fixed the issue?

It is likely there is something wrong with your secret key or live service account setting. Not sure what it is though. You may need to recheck that.
Get Microsoft Silverlight
