We’re happy to release a helpful new tool for you to check out called the Math Worksheet Generator.  This one is aimed at math teachers, tutors, parents, or anyone wanting to practice math problems with an accompanying answer sheet (and for those folks already using Microsoft Math, a step by step explanation of answers).  We’ve known that many teachers spend a lot of time searching for and photocopying printable worksheets.  We hope the Math Worksheet Generator eases this burden.  Just type in a practice equation or select from our pre-populated list of problem types, select how many you want on your printable worksheet, and click create.  The tool will generate a Word document (or HTML if you don’t have Word installed) with similar sample problems along with an answer sheet.
 
The Math Worksheet Generator began as a proof-of-concept by developers working on Microsoft Math and we, in the Education Labs team, decided to finish it off.  It’s powered by the Microsoft Math engine which means we are able to support a wide array of  equations and formulas, and can provide answers for all of them.  For this first version, we focused on some of the core math skills from basic arithmetic through algebra.  The tool isn't perfect - we still need to work on formatting answers, better support for displaying division problems, trigonometry and a handful of other things - but we think this is a pretty good start.  Please give it a try and let us know what you think!
